Engineering in sports

By Abdulaziz Khudada

Some people thinks that engineering is boring, but it's not for engineers. Some sports are based on engineering and technology like soccer, cycling, skateboarding and hockey. In fact it can helps the players to reach high scores and make new record.

"Many sports require hand-held equipment, such as bats, hockey and lacrosse sticks, fencing foils and golf clubs. These all involve engineering to be light and strong, to help the athletes' performances."

Engineers help athletes stay safe. Engineers doing all their best to make light weight protection in order to be strong and light. The table shows what the engineers do for the athletes.

Engineers use testing field for the athletes in order to find the weakest point. Improving their skills to find more than way to improve their speed and focus. Using maths and physics to solve sporting problems is how the engineers start; however, by the time engineers use technology and modern equipments for athletes.

Kinetic and Potential energy are the reason that helps the players to develop their skills.

Potential energy is the energy that an object has due to its position in a force field. Kinetic energy is the energy that it possesses due to its motion. [2]

Sports are mixed of physical skills, mathematics, science and technology. Using these stuff its can helps to make new world record.
